Eating well isn't always as simple as knowing what to eat.

Food can become complicated for all sorts of reasons. You might find yourself caught up in rules, guilt or anxiety around eating, feel out of control around food, or struggle to put nutritional advice into practice. You don't need to have a diagnosed eating disorder to seek support.

Or you may be looking for support while using weight loss medications, including navigating changes in appetite or worries about reducing or stopping medication.

Nutrition and the bigger picture

What we eat is only part of the picture. Our eating habits are shaped by our emotions, beliefs, experiences, relationships, routines and circumstances, as well as our nutritional needs.

At Reflective Nutrition, I use a psychologically informed approach to understand how these different factors may influence your eating and, if you feel ready, work with you to identify meaningful, practical changes.

A little about me

I'm Rachel, the Cardiff-based dietitian behind Reflective Nutrition. My background in mental health and eating disorder services has shaped the way I work, combining nutrition science with psychological insight.

I set up Reflective Nutrition to help people make sense of their difficulties with food and find ways to make everyday life a little easier.

I value working collaboratively, recognising that everyone brings different experiences, needs and priorities.

Outside work, I enjoy painting, gardening and catching up with friends over a coffee.
